ISO 17025 is the most important – and most widely recognized – standard for testing and calibration laboratories. It was first issued in 1999 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and has been revised over the years. Today, it remains one of the best ways to determine whether or not a lab is performing with maximum competency and accuracy.

In most cases, suppliers and regulatory bodies won’t accept a lab’s test results if they are not backed by ISO accreditation.
